No real updates at this stage. The car is in getting complied and blueslipped at the moment and will be let loose on the roads shortly

hey too_much... good to see the engine swap done.. Would be good to catjc up and have a look at an sr20 ceffy in the flesh sometime. Gove me some ideas in the future for an transplant. I hear a ceffy cruise :D

Other than the engine, the car is nothing special... I'd go as far as to say it is a bit rough...

but thats half the charm of it... Nobody will suspect a thing! :D

Just wondering who you go thru for engineering and blue slip?

How much were you quoted for the engineers time?

Engineer is Hugh Farrimont

He usually charges 300-400 depending on the job

He is based in Lane Cove somewhere

Dunno who my compliancer is using for blue slip

Its not rough at all mate. Lots of genuine nissan part goodness in that engine bay :P

Probably spend the rest of my life sorting the problems with the cars i currently have...
Might rice up the sil80 a bit with some fibreglass, since it needs a new guard anyway

It didn't cost me much as I had most of the parts lying around anyway. If you have to buy all the parts but can do all the labour yourself, i'd budget about 4.5-5k (assuming you pay about 3k for front cut)

I have done it on an S12 too.

It's not to hard on a S12, have a look on www.club-s12.org, there is a bit of info about it in their forum.
