hey all ..
everytime i cold start the car .. i get this rattle sound from the engine bay for about 2 secs .. and then i dont hear it again .. only happens on cold starts .. anyone know what it could be ??

probably the lifters rattling a bit coz all the oil drains out after a while..

Maybe try some slightly heavier oil and see if it makes a difference.

SR20s do seem to make a bit of noise on startup normally though :)

hey dudes, speaking of oil, im going to change my oil for the first time this weekend, which is the best oil for an sr20det to use? and which oil filter is the best to use also? can you guys let me know? also i want to change my fuel filter, which also is the best on to get?

use NOTHING but genuine oil its very light (7.5 30) and no one else really makes it. besides its only $30 from lander parts in Blacktown

also which is the correct ryco oil filter for a blacktop sr2odet?

mine is an s14 black top but they SHOULD be the same, the number is z445
