I am looking at fitting one of these turbos to my Sr20DET...180SX. Has anyone used or know of someone that has one fitted. I am curious to know of its capabilities and performance reliability. I have heard so much about the HKS GT series turbos. What would these be equilvalent to in the HKS series turbos. Also what would I be expected to pay for this particular turbo.

I doubt that they are as well matched to an SR as the HKS turbos. From what I know about this model, it is rated at 350ps.

I have seen one and they do look nice. They have a larger exhaust wheel then the HKS ones, but slightly smaller comp wheel. IMHO this isn't the best way to make a turbo especially when throttle response is a requirement.

Just look at what the Japs choose.. most of them go for the HKS ones

My mate used to have an Apexi turbo on his car, apparently they are good for mid range power and are often the choice for circuit racing.

Go the HKS GT 25/30 it is the closest match and would be my choice

they'll sound sick if you run them for a while with no oil pressure!

mate the HKS GTRS is the one to get for the SR20. you wont go wrong there. set it up properly with some high flow injectors, a fuel pump, fuel rail, and some engine managment, and u should have a better set up than most 180s and sils that drive around. youll definately have more bhp than most...............HKS do all the items listed above, but be ready to fork out big dollars.............
