can someone tell me the advantages of a z32 afm?

see alot of people have them on their 180's, just wondering also if they are out of a 300zx and if they are hard to wire up? ebay (yeah i know) have plugs just with wires to connect to your loom and the z32 afm.

is it that it is bigger better or both, just wondering if its something i should look into for my 180 or not

The Z32 AFM is 80mm in diameter. The std SR20 unit is ~55mm in diameter. The advantage is improved airflow and better tuning resolution.
You require an aftermarket or modified factory ecu to be able to run the larger AFM.
The RB25DET units are an upgrade as well, and are also 80mm in diameter, but can't go quite as far as the Z32 AFMs can in terms of peak flow and tuneability.

You don't need either unless you're already maxing out the std unit and are going bigger in both turbo and injectors. in other words, from 350hp upwards...
