has anyone played around with vinyl wraps on there car

the reason ask is i have some rust spots on my 180 that need attention mainly around the door sills sunroof and hatch which will add more primer patches which i am getting sick of looking at. so i figure black vinyl has got to look better than primer

something wrong with using paint? if you're going to put primer on,why not just go the next step and sand the primer back and then paint it?

matching to existing paintwork isn't exactly hard these days and even a slight mismatch is going to look a LOT better than some black plastic stuck all over the car.

I can do vinyl wrapping but it's not really that cost effective

Especially if you are just putting it over damaged parts, it will show up the damage worse.

+ if air or dirt gets under the vinyl, it's just gonna bubble up anyway

Do it properly
