A Silvia is a S13.

A 180sx is a RPS13.

Information must be accurate to avoid confusion.

well actually the chassis code s13 was only on a CA18det silvia

so its wrong calling anything but a CA18det silvia an S13....

s13 is just series, like s14 and s15... as far as im concerned a 180sx and a silvia is an s13, considering they have the same chassis, and most parts...
just hacthback and notch back variants of the same car.

OK lets get pedantic. Billy is right, but i'll make it even more n00b friendly.

S13 = chassis code (Be it a silvia, a 180sx, SR20, CA18, turbo, NA, typeX etc)

R = hatch (ie. its a 180sx)
P = 2L (ie SR20)

So, a typeX 180SX is an "R" (because its a hatch) "P" (because its an SR20) "S13" (because its a fucking S13, comprende?)
Thus making it an RPS13.

An SR20 Silvia? Easy, "P" (because its an SR20) "S13" (because its an S13 too, too easy hey??)
Thus making it a PS13

What about a CA18 180SX? This is fucking rocket science, I swear...
"R" (because its a hatch), " " (yes, there is nothing there.. because its NOT an SR20), "S13" (because zomg, its still an S13 chassis!!!)
Thus making it an RS13

Fuck it, because there are so many retards in the world, I'll just break down the CA18 Silvia too...
" " (blank, because its NOT a hatch), " " (blank, because its NOT an SR20), "S13" (because youre all such knowledgeable bastards, and always call Silvias "S13s", you know this bit)
Thus, making it an S13.

Lets hope all the braindead geniouses in the world read this, and finally understand that writing "compatible with S13 and 180SX" etc just shows that they are too stupid, and might as well describe their cars by their paint colour.
"yeah ive got a stock BOV from my white nissan thing for sale".

Thats because HICAS is gay, and no real S13 should have it.

If at least one person learns something, then I'm happy.

I've been explaining the same thing for 9 years now.. I'm pretty tired of it! :lol:

dont forget the USDM...

H for KA24E
M for KA24DE

:lol:

few other things that should be cleared up while im on my high horse...

There is no such thing as a nismo kit for s13 silvia, it is the nissan aero kit, was a factory option.

also type x lights isnt technically correct, they should be called "kouki" referring to later model as they also came factory on the "type S" ie NA version

also "Nardi deep corn"
Nardi though Italian is actually owned by japanese super company FET, and when you look on the FET website, the wheels are listed as "deep cone", the confusion came about as the katakana for cone and corn are the same, it simply a bad engrish translation that stuck

oh and greddy is pronouce Gred-E, it comes from the words "great" and "eddy" as in the flow of wind or current... nothing more anoying that random nubs dropping G-ready when theyre trying to talk jazz at the track...
proof is from the trust US site... had a pronunciationv key and definition on the site.
