I thought I would introduce myself and most importantly, my car! This is my first turbo car, after owning a Ford Laser '81, TX3 '89, 323 '86, 323 '92...i've finally made the right choice and jumped ship over to the SR20 band wagon!

So here are the specs:

Nissan 180sx Type X
Type X Kit + Extensions (front/rear)
Cusco Zero-2 Coilovers
Nismo Front/Rear Strut Brace (rear is adjustable)
ARS 17" Rims with Falken rubber
APEXi bov
APEXi Panelfilter
HKS 3" Exhaust System
HKS Turbo Timer
Sony CD Player (Had Kenwood Double DIN but was replaced due to no code :()

As you might see, she does not have the genuine Type X taillights - rather she has the normal lights.

Finally sourced some type X lights - $540 to my door and they are in great knick. Very Happy!!!
Image

A little shot of the front - once I get tax back, either a HDi or Greddy M-Spec FMIC will be residing behind the bar!

Also got a SS 3" dump, very happy!

Fitted!!

More pics to come!

Most of them were fwd NA.
I like the kouki 180sx (obviously haha), and I don't mind the model 6s either but it could do with a bit of a lower and a few other tweaks to give it a good stance. The old school wing doesn't really suit the later car either IMHO.

Yeah thats right, had a little 1.6 n/a! 60kws of power!!!

I want to drop it a few inches but at the current house I live at, the driveway is just absolute shit :( don't want to rip off any of those lips..

What do you suggest to give it a better stance? I was thinking about getting some 30mm spacers?

You'll be suprised how low you can get it without really scrubbing, before I lowered my car the last time I never hit any part of the car on anything. You can't really tell how much spacing you need until you get the car at a good height.
So when mine was like this it never went close to hitting anything at all. The front bar sat alot lower then that kouki bar does as well.

My offsets in this pic were 17x9 +30 rear with 235/45 and 17x8 +6 front with 215/45. Bodywork was standard.

Now that it's like this it does scrape sometimes (mostly the exhaust) but usually only with 4 people in the car, with just me it's ok.
Image

My offsets currently are 17x8 -4 front and 17x9 +6 rear with 215/45 tyres all round. 20mm wider front guards and rolled rears. To be honest the previous body setup was nicer but I broke the guards when I smashed the front bar drifting and 20mm wider ones were cheap sooo...

Finally got her back, looking all shmick now.

Although, I have decided to sell her.

Just don't drive her enough (have a work van), and can see myself just spending too much money on her! So check out ebay or carsales, shes on both..
