hey guys,
i have a 92' 180sx
im having a problem here,
sometimes im hearing this clicking noise when i turn the car on and it seems to be coming from the ac/heater unit.

and to get rid of the clicking,
ill have to move the flap thingy on the unit from hot to cold to hot to cold etc until it stops.
:S does any1 know why thats happening? is it common?
and was thinking if i can change the ac/heater unit to a digital one instead? like the type X ones.

thanks in advance.

its probably the motor that normally moves the flap is dead.

i dont think going digital will fix your problem.

i had this same problem in my 180sx. its basically the flap motor on its way out and struggling to move the flap into the requested position. if you have a look behind the dash you can see the arms for the aircon and see when they move, and you will be able to see which one is stuffed.
