There is another type X at Version one that is probably the one you are thinking of. the bonnet/front panels are a different shade of white to the rest of the car.

I actually went to Sergey to look at the car in your avatar picture (I think) as i wanted one without a spoiler but it was sold...but i was so impressed with the quality of this one that I bought it. he showed me the other one but I didnt like it. was ratty inside and had the mismatched panels and those clear/purple weather guards on it.

The reason it passed compliance with that steering wheel is because he is a dodgy complier.

Hah, the way he complied my old S13 was funny! No intrusion bars, no child restraints, etc.

I dont have either I guess, but I dont really need the child restraint at this point in time.

He did however fit ugly ass side blinkers! need to find something that will fill the hole in the guard and not look quite as stupid as having a 2cm tall orange cylinder sticking out the side of my car.

haha, wow.. I got my 180 from Version One aswell,
the bastards somehow complied it without a working horn, the clockspring connectors were rooted...

Fantastic looking type X, good price, good colour (for maintaining anyway)
...One thing i dont understand... WHY buy a type x if you dont like the look of them?

does version one have a website or something?

...yeah the ugly indicators they installed are for compliance/aus unfortunately

I dont like the factory Type X front bar. mine has an additional lip on the bottom that must have been a factory option which gives it a much meaner stance. The wheels arent great (but better than non-X wheels) and I was undecided about the wing (its grown on me now, excellent for blocking bright headlights). The reason I got it was that it was the best 180 for the money and the only aspects I didnt like were all body kit options that I could swap anyway. The type X interior and features (ABS, climate control) were a plus as well.

I dont mind the indicators now, I realise they probably just wanted to make them as small as possible. Still, wouldnt mind a low profile/clear version of the same thing.

The color is good but it does need a few touch ups here and there, especially around the front/side skirts. paint chips show up real good on white paint :(

And mine was complied with momo steering wheel, tanabe shocks/springs, blitz pipe/bov and bald tires. Last one was nasty but Im putting new wheels on next week so ive just been slow when it rains.
