hmmm.... thats rather strange, ive worked for an import dealer before and have never seen a 1998 type X ever...

.. have heard of them in Japan but not in Australia, check the original Japanese chassis plate, they should have a id on it

i was sure that it was '98 cos I had to check the rego details matched the car etc...

anyways, i will post it EVEN if im wrong. :oops:

if your's is a 95 type X it will be Black top engine not Red Top =)

yours should be a 95 Type X since its a late 95model but have a look at the eingine

sure did mate =)

only thing is that they are not VVT like the S14A and S15 engines,

from memory i think the SR20DET black top had extra 7-10Kw compared to the Red Top any one know of this is true?
