why would you bother putting another 2nd hand pump in when you can get a brand new walbro for probably less than a GTR pump

cause i would have thought a 2nd hand one would be cheaper

You might have kicked it home but you'll kick yourself if you buy a secondhand pump and it dies in 6 mnths

or 6 minutes.

a fuel pump is one area where you don't want to be stingy. particularly when it's behind an engine you push hard. 'I saved a hundred bucks putting in a 2nd hand pump but it couldn't cope and the engine leaned out at 1 bar of boost and I melted a piston...'

some people understand the subtle approach, others need to be smacked over the head repeatedly until they get the point.

I didn't want to waste my time in this case posting over and over with it not sinking in.
