If I ever need to re-do my turbo gasket again (or change the turbo :) ) I'll definitely be buying braided lines... doing the oil/water lines was the only really difficult part of the entire process!

im getting my stock dump and front replaced with a 3" once piece soon seeing as i blew the turbo gasket at the skid pan day... figured may as well get it swapped while its open... just jap quoted $88/hr for 6 hours for that! got a quote for a place in croydon for 450 and castle hill for 350.

I paid $100 to Hitech mufflers in Gosford next to my work. The guy told me it took him 4 hours to get all the bolts undone from the back of the turbo, plus he had to make up another bracket for the cat and fit new 3" dump/front pipe.....

These prices are probably right on the money considering most mechanics know it's a bastard half the time to change them.

4 hours to undo dump bolts?? does he not have hands?

it takes me less than 30 mins to completely remove a dump pipe and im not a mechanic and i take my sweet ass time. probably would take someone else 10 mins
