Car: 180sx type x
got a stock standard 180 type x. havent done anything since i bought it other than 3inch exhaust turbo back. the car was impoted privately.

driving it lately and noticed i have all the power i need after driving for about 5 minutes. After about 10-15 the car seems to generate alot of lag and not pull as hard when i give her a boot.. take note i have no leaks(already checked) and or faults thats i know of....anything i should look at or check or is this generally normal without an intercooler, pod, etc?
these mods will be done very soon tho.

cheersss

That tends to be the norm with turbo cars. As the engines/intercooler's running at a lower temp it's more efficient than once all these items heat up.

At dyno days, turbos usually output the highest figure on their first run and the power drops slightly on the 2nd and 3rd. N/As tend to be the opposite.

yeah i know what you mean about getting hotter... changed the oil and filter today after driving it for a while.. jumped back in to run the oil in and the bastard was quick as a rocket.. then again after about 10-15 mintues of driving it starts to lag and just be tempremental.. must be hotter and cooler..

anyway ill see how it goes with the new intercooler. any other theories ill be happy to hear em.

Sounds like a heat-soaked intercooler, kind of... Double check that there's nothing blocking the airflow to your stock cooler, and that the ducting is all in place (feeding air directly onto the core).
