anyone tried out that new nulon 10w-40 synthetic oil? its got that ATT stuff and is apprently suppposed to reduce friction by 39%.

Funny you should ask. I have mentioned it in another thread on this site at some point. I have been using the Nulon 'Fast Flowing' 10w-40 full synthetic oil in the G/F's S14 for the past 18 months. After switching from Motul Turbolite 10w-40 oil. I would highly recommend the Nulon and I haven't used anything since making the switch.

Yes the Nulon oil used is 100% synthetic. It's priced about the same as the Motul turbolight. However, I find that the SR runs smooth (less ticking/threshy sounding) and seems to rev out smoother than on the Turbolight.

The oil after 5,000KM's still holds a good consistancy and colour. For the money, when used within a street car, I would highly recommend the Nulon.

whats the difference between full and partial synthetic??

in simple terms, pretty much how it is made and what it is made from.
yeah i ran the nulon stuff on my car this service and surprisingly, it hasnt gone dark yet. its still as it came out of the bottle! hehe. so im guessing it holds its composition pretty well, although i did use a 10w-40 and usually i use edge 5w-30. not sure if that makes too much of a difference. its sold pretty much at any auto-parts store.

But if the Nulon oil holds it's colour very well, doesnt that mean all the crap is in the engine instead of in the oil ?

:x
