If you want flutter, tighten up the bov or remove it completely

The stocker is in the inner guard where the stock intercooler sits.

Yes they do come with one no they aren't supposed to make a noise, no you can't see it easily either, unless someone came and took it off it'll be there.

The stock bov is plumbed back in, meaning no noise.
You want flutter? get a pod and or tighten the bov.

sorry for bringing up an old post... but doesn't a standard 180 have a wastegate?? if not, where is the bov for the CA18...? btw i forgot to mention... do i have to move any parts of the body to see it? and is it a certain color...? and finally is it easy to tighten...?

BOV's and wastegates are two COMPLETELY different things,

The wastegate has no effect on funny noises when you back off at all, its solely the BOV or lack of BOV.
There is NO wastegate flutter as I hear it called its caused by no bov and the air coming back through the filter, Im not going into the technical reason it happens as thats not what this topic is for.

No there is No BOV on a CA from the factory but the SR does have a plumb back standard.
All turbo cars have to have some form of wastegate, there are exceptions to that but chances are you will never actually see them.

It all depends on setup ie. where you put the bov

were you put it won't matter. I beleive it was pascals principal that said pressure will be dispersed equally in all directions in a sealed environment??

So it doesn't matter where the bov is it will vent the same pressure.

If you can tighten the BOV up till it won't vent on lowish boost or light lift offs but will on higher boost then you will get some light flutter before the BOV opens but thats it.

Yeah, it can be done.

The vacuum in the plenum will cause the bov to open when the throttle is closed. Don't know whether it would make much noise though.
