Hey all, im new to this forum, (will do a intro thread next :p) and im looking to purchase a 94 model 180sx off a mate... it needs some TLC bodywise but mechanically its A1...its stock other then a bigger turbo(not sure wat but ill find out) full exhaust, Hybrid FMIC, Blitz BOV, turbo timer, Cusco Coilovers, front and rear strut bars. All the mods were done by him and the car has been rarely driven... My Questions are what are the pros and cons to getting this? anyidea what 1/4mile times should be acheived? its on 11psi... im just unsure about nissans as im a honda nut, but i want to go for a RWD car... thanks for the help... Christian

Once you go Nissan you wont look back (there are a few abnormal people here that have gone to the dark side though) What sort of money does your mate want, if the repair are too expensive you might be better off starting with a better car.

well because the bodywork is not all that great, ie needs a respray... i want to do an S15 front conversion and then give it a respray of the red like my car now but with the black roof, bonnet and boot... But the thing is im not sure if i want to leave my hondas as i can build a civic hatch NA that could do 12seconds...that would cost around 20gz and the 180 with the paint etc done would be just under that... decisions decisions

LOL but i dont have 20k to spend ONTOP of buying the car haha... its a hard desicion cause i love RWD but theres nothing better then beating skylines, 200's, wrx's, V8's etc in a civic :p

I guess then it all depends on what you want out of the car. If you just want to see the surprised look on the faces of the drivers of the cars you listed, then stay with the Civic. Otherwise, you can build a tough 180 and enjoy the RWD, hit the cricuit/drift track and never look back.

irrespective of the power diff (which of course point in the 180 direction) the sx is way nicer looking than the most hondas, right Zei Karl
