Hey dude, welcome to the forums.

I have an S13 Onevia with HICAS, so far it hasn't been a problem at all and I've hit the track a few times.

Either it doesn't bother me or mine doesn't work..... :D

There a quite a few members here who are also members of www.initialdrift.com.au. If you would like to take up drifting then that is the place for you. Don't forget us though, there should be a few official cruises coming up over summer ;)

I've never seriously tried drifting (pretty stupid on public roads),or been on a track for that matter.I'm a bit scared of breaking my daily driver.
However it's something i would LOVE to try.

A bit of a contradiction to my username really isn't it!

The danger to your vehicle is pretty minimal on a track, danger to your tyrelife is another matter  managed to finish off 6 half worn tyres last weekend.

Yeah i'm cool with all of that.I'm more worried about my engine/driveline,etc.

Do you guys cop any breakages in that department?

Nope, keep your servicing up and take care of your car.

If you drift your car on a regular basis things are going to wear out faster, just depends on how smooth you are with your car really, the amount of damange you want to do is up to you.

My car isn't the best for drifting, the suspension isn't as stiff as it should be and I have a stock LSD which doesn't help. Don't get me wrong, if you drift your car, things will wear out faster and depending on how you use your car, you may break things or you may not.

Handling wise my car has blitz rear stiffness adjust shocks and Monza from shocks with camber tops. Aluminium pineapples(apparently) and a front strut brace.

There are a few magazines out that have recomendations for setting your car up for drift, see if you can source any out and have a read, they have some good articles.
