Hi,
i got a my '91 200SX europe model 3months ago, so im a newbie this time:) my problem is i wont get any power @ any rpm if i push the pedal. just the usual popping sound wich is not misfiring. its new for me so thatswhy i joind this club. SSSooo i checked for leaks million times, i fixed 2 big holes and its still no good. i must control my feet ultragentley to make the car moving. (driving without turbocharging) my question is: what can couse this alltime powerless statement? if itsa a leak i think it must be a big 1.

91 euro 200sx is CA powered s13 right?

It's almost certainly a misfire with the symptoms you have described, likely due to the coils being old and shagged. (assuming i'm right about the engine)

What boost/vacuum readings are you getting when you put your foot down and where are you taking the boost signal from.

Well it is CA powered after all :P
Haha nah what he said, coils are a common problem. While you have the coils out check your plugs as well since they CA coils are fairly annoying to get out (who needs 4 bolts per coil...).

First off, when where the plugs last replaced, if you dont know, then go and replace them, and re-gap the new plugs to .8 or .9mm.

Secondly, check the coil packs, if they are aftermarket coil packs, you might want to go back to standard coil packs (BHD will know all to well where I am coming from with this one, went to replace my coil packs for some aftermarkets, but as soon as you hit 5,000rpm, you drop a cylinder instantly, and apparently it was the same in the RB as well.....

Also get a smoke test performed on the turbo piping, make sure there is no boost leak. Boost leak is bad Mkay!!

Also clean and replace (if required) the AFM, if it's sensing close to 5 volts, then any slightly heavy push on the accelerator will cause it to push over 5 volts, and then it will fuel cut (mine was doing it when I first bought the car, gave it a damn good cleaning, and she came good, but when tested, I was spiking 5 volts and hitting massive fuel-cut).

Let us know how you go after doing these....

first of all thanks 4 respone that fast:P i think ive checked the leaking problem exepct the intercooler coz i have to remove the front to get any clearance (by readin da repair manual)... afterall ill do the coil and spark thing wot u adviced, but im living innner city and i have no grage and i must do my currently job (building site), i dont have much time (especially in daylight) 4 my SX :(:(:( ive checked my bypass valve and it seemed ok. coz im a bit scared about the turbo. when i bought the car the turbo died after 3 days like usually when the owner's changin...
anyway, i donno much about my car. in hungary people dont care about anything ( i think), the only choice is buy 1 and rebuild it.... ill let u know if any progress or depress happend:P goodnight...

May be a stupid reply, but perhaps your clutch is rooted as well and is slipping something chronic?

This is why I suggested getting a performance specialist to perform a smoke test, what they do is disconnect the hot pipe, and connect a smoke making machine to it, then disconnect the TB pipe, and fit a plug to it, then start pumping smoke under pressure, if you have leaks anywhere in the intercooler, piping, etc, they soon start blowing smoke out, and it makes it dead easy to see, and if it's from the intercooler, you will see smoke start pumping from the front, and you will know exactly where it's leaking without removing anything (trust me, seen it with my own eyes, it even shows VERY SMALL pin-hole fractures that you cant see, even with the fractured part off the car).

But my first suggestions are coils and spark plugs, especially the spark plugs, I replaced mine, and it went for poor acceleration, poor idle, and no power at all to dead smooth idle, decent (for a CA) acceleration and power, made a world of difference by just putting plugs in that actually fired cleanly, and not when they felt like it.

start simple: have you checked the fuel filter?

Post subject:  im not really fast u can say:P

so ive checkd my ignition coilz and sparks ( 1 broken tool from tesco @ first spark :D than garage tool tuning) so my sparks seemed to be older than the car :S i was surprised coz the the engine had complete refreshment... my exhaust gas sensor has been cutted thru, i must have check the compression and the voltage around afm, fuel pump.
how can i check that my bypass conntroll rod or bypass valve works? i tried to move the rod with hand, but it didnt moved and dont want to force the stuff. if the SR20 is that great im thinking on a swap before this CA brokes my life :) next weekend will be better organized..
