Sounds like you'll have a bit of a weapon there! What's the plan, a bit of circuit work or drifting?

I prefer track days and hillclimbs, but i will take it out a few times to a drift day. It wont be a show car but it wont be a drift pig either. I am planning on driving it most days.

I have heaps of photos at home, ill try to post up the progress on the car as it comes along. I am hoping to have the car registered and running in about a month. But its got a long way to go yet.

Sounds good.
I hope you are getting some good offsets on those rims so that the widebody isn't superfluous (like it seems to be on so many cars...).
Also why go a cusco cage?
Wouldn't a cams approved cage like a BOND rollbars unit be a better idea?
As far as i know they do a bolt on CAMS half cage.

Ya the buddy clubs should look alright under the wide guards, they do have a bit of offset but not as much as your typical dished rims. I wouldnt mind a set of dished works but engine mods first.

Ive had the cage for awhile, it was Dumheads old cage off his silvia, i was gonna put it in mine but i picked up the 180 so i figured id put it in that instead. I dont think it is a cusco one but its a similar design.

For those of you who do drift you should look at the above link on Tremclad, you can get a decent finish considering your rolling the thing on.

Heeh the tremclad thing would be cool IF it didn't require rediculous ammounts of prep.
Two pack for my car in silver is only $300ish for 4L anyways.
What that guy has achieved is amazing though but i really really hate sanding that much haha.

With the rims:
On a 9" rim you are going to need an offset of somewhere around +10 or +15 to make them look alright out back, up front on an 8" rim around 0 or slightly negative offset would be the go.
That's even with wide tyres, not stretched tyres to gain clearance. With my rear guards lipped and 1 degree of camber i can easily run 255/40s on a 17x9 +20.
I've run a 17x8 -4 up front on my car with just lipped guards so with a widebody you'd maybe even want more.
I just don't want to see the rims sunk in with a widebody is all ;).
