Hi guys! just wanted some advice , heres my situation , currently 20 years of age with a Green P's license.

Now i want to purchase a 180sx virgin so nothing done to it , i want to mod it slowly from scratch to learn bout the car as well.
I want turbo on it but P's n not allowed to have it. Wont have my full license by next mid year. Should i wait? should i buy it n wait? should i buy a N/A? or wat should i do with it?

Reason why is cause im sick of using other ppls cars and just want my own under own name and if i stuff it up then onli can blame myself =]

Wat do you think guys?

Wait.
You'd be silly not to NA 180sxs are rare and expensive since they are all 1997ish models.

cars are very poor investments, so making a good purchase at the right time is crucial. Have some patience dude, the longer you wait, the better the market will be.

Rush into it, and you will pay dearly - s13's are bitches much of the time, and a bad one will only compound the effects.

Otherwise if u find a dead set bargain, buy it and put it in the garage till you can drive it.

Only if it's a bargain to, any potential savings you might have made will be fretted away by using up the remaining rego without using the car or you may have to pay for a blue slip etc when you are ready to drive the car which is a pain in the arse.

buy a corolla or a pulsar enjoy the cheap running cost and save more money untill next year so you have a bit bigger budget, then stick to a 180sx with a sr20det in it,

if you don't want it bad enough to save up.. then maybe you should rethink the prospect of owning one in the near future.

hang around long enough and a nice n/a s13 silvia will pop up, but with 7k i dont think you will find a reasonable 180sx, let alone type S n/a 180.. they're rare as!!!

get a corolla/laser/pulsar for msdrft's aforementioned reason and spend the rest of your money shouting the silviansw boys some pizza and strippers. =]

This might create more pain, but you realise if you got your license before july11 '05 you CAN drive it right?

^^^^ Truth. Wait a while dude... Even if you get a good deal and put the car in storage till you can drive it
a) youll still be tempted drive it sometime (and risk getting booked).
b) the rego will still be running down
c) the prices will drop between buying and driving
Taking the last two into account, rego and price drop you wont save any money....
