ECU remaps are the own.

Whoever says all J ones are shit for Australia are being loose with their terminology or are trying to sell ya something. John at UAS is a good salesperson.

Because the tune on J ecu's aren't for Australian petrols, it's not a good idea to use THEIR TUNE. Using their equipment however is ok so long as you can get someone to reprogram them.

IMO get yourself a biki rom, find someone on the net with similar setup to yours, copy their tune, go to Unigroup for a retune (last time I was there they had an eeprom reader but you might like to ask first).

too_much_boost also has a daughterboard in his cefiro and knows his stuff, he might have a few maps lying around he may be willing to share that might be fit for your purpose :)

Mine put out 198rwkw peak at UAS with a daughterboard, the curve was good, no real difference at that stage with a tune that could be on a PFC etc...

That's the hard part.

yeah but Tom, most of the time the J tuned ecus have bucket loads of epoxy coating everything so u cant get the chips out to re burn them.

if you're not going to tune yourself a bikirom is a waste of money, as you wont use the features.

sure u can download a base map straight into it without having a chip burner, but the huge price compared to a standard daughterboard far outweights the benefits.

i did a bit of looking around to see exactly how it was done, seems a lot easier than i thought. Im not used to tuning through this method but it seems like a fairly accurate solution if you have a few hours on a dyno. Theyve certainly come a long way!
I think ill try a bikirom cause it seems like a pretty capable dughterboard with decent features.
Ive got access to a dyno, a wideband and an experienced tuner, so i guess we will take a crash couse in bikiprogramming.
Ill do a dyno run before and after and share the results.
