True!

thanks pal...!

for a while i thought, I have not check the vacuum hose!
hmmm...

But i thought if the vacuum hose is tear, normally there won't be any boost as well...?

but for my case, there is boost...

Well, dyno still need money...

but i got all the parts to test for free... but i do agree... time is wasted...

it's ok... i prefer testing it stage by stage... at least i know my car well after diagnosting it... :D

It's fun...
But really, you guys are really helpful...

thanks!

rather than spending all that time and money to diagnose a problem that could be any number of things, why not just take it to a workshop with a dyno and pay them $60 for a diagnostics run...

easier, cheaper, quicker and safer for your car. plus there's no guesswork on a dyno

i really think this problem is a easy fix look at where the problem starts 4 -5k rpm where most cars would get max boost, which is where it normally gets boost cut. If it is something so easy no need to go to a dyno but in saying that scuba has to check the engine bay properly and TRUST ME BOOST COMES WITH A TEAR IN THE HOSE I was hitting 30PSI in my S 15

:o :D

my leak was before the throttle, any bigger and the car will stall, but it was just a small leak hence the loss in power at 4-5k

How much boost are you running and although you changed your plugs, what gap are they set at?

Me?

I am running about 0.8 - 0.9 bar
not sure of the gap of the plugs. I didn't adjust the gap, just plug it in when i bought it.

Just as a tester, re-gap your plugs to 0.8mm. Your not running high boost but its a simple task that miiight sort it out.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!

:D

you are right man!
there is a joint in between the vaccum hose linking to the BOV. I think the joint went loose causing it to leak during 0.9 boost ( pressure high). Hence i replace the whole hose removing the joint.

Now everythings back to normal...

Thanks mate!

:D

Happy boosting!
