whats ur choice 17 inch rims or 18 inch rims

does this affect ur performance alot????

what about ur ride is it changed radically

i'm guessing 18inch wheel go with 40 series tyres

The profile of the tyre is dependant on the width of the tyre and the diameter of the rim.
Get a tyre that maintains the same outside (rolling) diameter to standard.
For example a 205/55 16 tyre is the same diameter as a 225/50 16 tyre.

but what is the radius differance with

45 series 17
and
40 series 18

That depends on the width of the tyre.
The wider the tyre, the higher a given profile (say 40) will be.
A 225/40 17 will be a smaller tyre (in diameter) to a 255/40 17.
Google tyre size calculator to work it out.

ok so if
i go like 225 40 18
or 235 40 18

from 225 45 17
would i get a big change in performance that is 1/4 mile

Yep the bigger the wheels the beter time you get thats why im going from 18's too 22's
