i was just told that 180's use a chain and not a belt so they dont need to be replaced n stuff... im talking about a 92 model sr20... ?

yep thats right .. they have a chain instead !! Which is great ..cause you never have to worry about it snapping on you :)

yeah they get loose and noisy when they wear, but they can make a hell of a lot of noise before they generally break, so you can pretty much trust it unless your car's sounding like a tractor :)
