hey guys,
i know this is a stupid question,
but im a bit paranoid after a threat by a copper from
an rbt unit a couple days ago.

i was told off with the p plate on the corner windscreen
and having half of it covered up by rear numberplate,
(fair enough, that i can understand)

but i was told off for driving with my parker lights on?!?!
the officer said it was a driving offence,

after i replied that theyre parker lights,
and its suppose to do that,

he replies
"well,u bettter get them fix then...coz its illegal"


so, heres the question...
is it possible of a defect(well, they arent foglights or nething...)?

This is explaining it simply.

If you have your fog lights on and its not foggy - ticket.

Parking lights, are just parking lights, have them on when ever you like. Yet, If you make your parking lights super strong, they'll be seen as fog lights.

people tend to get confused about what a defect actually is...a defect is essentially the copper getting you to get something checked out to check whether it's legal or not. If it is illegal he will fine you for it, not defect you. The idea of a defect is so you get something checked out and if it's not legal the inpectors will take it off the road until it is fixed.

If your parkers are really that bright I think you need to look into it, coz there is really no need to have your parker lights that bright that they look like fog lights (if that is the case).

If you change the coolour of the parking lights to ANYTHING OTHER THAN WHITE, this is also defectable, so make sure they have clear globes in them, but otherwise tell the cop to get stuffed (not literally).

lmao tatz exactly wat happened to me at cronulla durin the riots but plus speeding n my cars to low! i thought i was readin my own post just den.the copper said to me you shouldnt be drivin with my fog lights on when his pointin at my parkers rofl!!

How would an officer know if you dont have parking lights- unless they are there and noticibly faulty/damaged

Ive removed my parkers before, and used it as my indicators instead on the, it looked good and stock so no law enforecment would have any clue unless he/she had an R33 as well
