there's the dodgy way, which is to cut the speed sensor cable to the ECU, which can cause the occasional problem, like stalling at the lights if you slow down rapidly, etc, or you buy a speed limit remover (my preference being the Pivot Speed Meter-X, which gives you a digital speedo and 1/4 mile timer too), or you get a re programmable daughterboard for the ECU and remove the limiter in the software.
I've done both the last two, but the first might work ok, especially if you have it on a switch so you can leave it on most of the time.

The daughterboard way is the least dodgy. No wiring changes and you can actually choose the value for the limiters over and over again.

For example when my sister borrowed the car I put the speed limit to 105km/h and the rev limit to 6500rpm.

Have the speed limit gone and the rev limit changed for my normal driving, all is good.

Go the daughterboard!

Have a look at my site:

www.geocities.com/s13silviatuning/theor ... uired.html

down the bottom of that page is a link to download the ecu editing software.

Its called ROMEDIT, download the address file and the SR20DET file, load them up and go to "global"

that is where you change the limits.

File is burnt onto daughterboard chips, can be reburnt as many times as you want.

Better instructions on the page. :D
