we are gonna need some specific mods, types of cars etc.

V8s are usually faster at the drags, but maybe only because there are more of them

the windsor V8 got to 220kw in its last incarnation, whilst the commo donk got to around 200(?) in its highest form?

I would think that the sr20det s13 would have it all over the over the "heavy commo". The s13 would out-break, out-handel, and most lickly out-accelerate the v8, especially it being an older v8(i assume).

Give us some more details of the cars

If it was an old school v8 u have it all over him. But one of the last 2yrs models would be a good challenge

He said it was 5Litre. Last 2 years are 5.7's and 6's.

5L could be anything before '97

Depends on the cars, and especially if you're talking about the circuit it depends on the drivers.

I got thoroughly monstered by a couple of VK Commodores at Eastern Creek Raceway today, as well as a plethora of other cars. At the same time I've blown past Porsche Boxsters and disappeared on 200rwkW+ S15s in my car.

you need to post more specifics before anyone can say whether you have a chance or not.

if it's a well worked 304 in a VK or similar, there's a good chance you'll lose unless your car is worked as well.

if it's a mild injected 304 in a VN-VS,you'll likely destroy him.

a V8 will get you off of the line, but you'll reel him in by half track if your car is set up properly.

he'll get you off the line, and you should reel him in in the top end once you're on boost.

bwahahahaha

back on topic

would be a tough race, go down to WSID with him and do your best

if you have manual take it easy through 1st and try not to grind 2nd, once your in 2nd gear drive it like you stole it, 2nd to 3rd will need to be a really quick shift but again dont grind it, with boost at 14psi you should have enough power to get him, id say your about 160-180kw if SR depending on tune, but that should be enough to get you down the track quick

if hes in an auto it will be an even tougher job but concentrate on your own race and dont worry about the competitor and you will do fine
