yeah agreed , in the rain it is different but more excitement aswell!

little gtir's scream, do the minor mods and they fly!
and oversteer like 4wd's do,heaps better and more reliable the rex'ies too!

Firstly both the WRX and GTiR are set up from the factory to understeer, like most 4WD cars are. The WRX will probably outhandle a GTiR with modded suspension due to the amount or research gone into designing parts for em, that and they are a better balanced car from the factory. Finally yes i have driven both and the GtiR will be a lot more responsive to minor mods powerwise.

i agree..

the rexy will out handle the baby GTR. Its a better balanced car.

but to get either car to run 12s - the GTiR would get there quicker and less COST :D

Thats funny cause I dont give any credit to WRX's! even the thought makes me laugh...ha

A mates friend had one, thrashed it for the whole waranty period, they fixed it and sent him a letter when it finished saying tha he cost Subaru some $35grand worth of transmission, clutches and driveline parts!
food for thought!

$35grand worth of transmission, clutches and driveline parts! :o

how the F*(K can the bill go up that much. :o
somethin fishy here.... even a NEW engine GEARBOX Driveline parts labour will not round up costs over 15k... :o

I give credit to them cos a good friend has one.
done 140K kms and still runs smooth and pulls from me on sprint runs and out corners me on the rain. Though hes got more mods done compared to my near stocky 180.

i just can't get over the FULL THROTTLE on a tight curve and raining with 15psi of boost and not loose it.

I'm not bagin S13 or any silvia ( iluv em :D why do you think i've got one ) but I think for handling, there has to be credit given to the rexies.

All cars have good things and bad things but in your eyes every bit of the REXIES is bad.
:D hehehe.. i guess you don't like em rubmlers much.. :D

Meh wrx's arent that hard to own :)

One night with a few mates going thru sydneys south west (couldnt think of any other spots to look for runs) came across a modded wrx.. Full exhaust and whatever else.. Got some lights and its on :) I only had my exhaust, pod and 12psi and off the line, huge stuff up on my part.. did a 6k slip that just didnt go my way.. anyway, he did a big dump and only really pulled about a length. 2nd came soon enough and i pulled it back to even and on 3rd it was game over rexxy :D

On the freeway however it would be completely different, rex's are known for their serious lack of top end. Sure they fly to 80 but once there meh..

Given the choice between a rex and a gti-r ... show me the baby godzilla. You dont need a good looking car when it OWNS the road !!!! 8)

I agree.. :D
i pulled away a bug eyed WRX on the M2 and thats without droping a gear. I was on 4th going 120 then planted my foot.. Bye bye, then I hit the limiter.

Damn limiter. :x Bug eye caught up then we just slowed down as it was towards the end of the road...

:D

Having never had any encounters before i'd have to guess but i'd say yep, specially with minor mods like exhaust etc. They are "luxury" coupes, stuff that just get a JC Cosmo, comes complete with 20B :P
