I had someone in my car the other day and he said my diff was about to go becuase he could hear a noise somewhere. what i wanted to know is what upgrade can be done on the stock 180sx CA18 diff. thanks

Mechanical 2 way. Second hand from Japan, scour some wreckers, raios is 3.69:1

you could get either a r33 gts-t or a r32 gtr rear diff.
its your call give a few places a call for prices second hand.
they are a dam good option.
