Hi guys,

ever since my older bro owned an '02 s15 i've always wanted one!
just saved up the money for one.. went down to Melbourne to ensure I got the best one currently on the market and then brought her home..

now i'm having massive issues getting it registered here in NSW.
it has an aftermarket turbo back exhaust system, K+N pod filter and monza front mount intercooler..

now I was advised i would need to get an engineers cert done to get this thing on the road but it unfortunately failed that for a few reasons but thats another story..

now is there a way I can get this thing on the road relatively cheaply?

will the car pass with just the intercooler if i take the pod off, put the original panel filter on and just redesign the intercooler pipes to accomodate this??

if anyone has any ideas of knows of 'anyone' who would pass this car for rego it would be greatly appreciated!

car is in amazing condition and I just want to be able to drive the thing!

cheers for any and all help!!

Scott (OZ200) ps have the number plates ready and everything!!!

If that's all of the mods; Put a stock airbox on it, make sure the exhaust is reasonably quiet and then start visiting blue slip joints until someone gives you one.

Easily done.

thanks badhairdave!

will give that a go.. it has a reasonably quiet exhaust and looks stock so hopefully shouldn't have too many issues.

if anyone knows of a blue slip joint that will look at a car with a front mount intercooler it would be greatly appreciated! location doesn't really matter but north western sydney is where i'm located.

thanks again!

mate not that hard you just need someone to do a blue slip

as old mate said above put a stock air box on it and either get a qieter rear muffeler to pass and swap them back over after the checks done

or you can stuff a metal flange half way up the exhaust with a smaller hole in it and add some steel wool

intercooler you could paint black and make sure the hole in the battery tray (if its you normal kit) make sure it dosnt look like a shit job (cover the edge)

Most places won't pass a front mount it it's needed the bumper modded,or the bar reinforecment cut to allow fitment. The hole in the battery tray doesn't go down well either.

Get a stock SMIC,fit that along with the stock airbox, and try your luck.

agree if you can get your hands on a stock cooler and just place the battery over the hole
