Hi,

mechanic just advised me i need a new steering rack because i had a split boot left unchecked for too long

anyway, i'm not in NSW, but i doubt there is a Silvia forum here (SA)

so i was wondering what would i expect to pay for a new rack for this car (S13) + installation and how easy are they to get right now?

by new i mean replacement, which could be a recon

also would i be advised to go to a specialist steering mechanic like this one...

I have a spare steering rack out of a type-x in excellent condition

will be a direct fit if your S13 is non-hicas

i think it is hicas
