How do I convert my 1992 sr20 in my 1993 s13 from r12 to r134a a/c gas???

get an A/C specialist to do it. it usually involves replacing the seals and retrofitting the later syle fittings on the low and high pressure gas points.

it's illegal to vent an A/C system to the atmosphere,so you need the gear to recover the gas anyway. it's cheapest and easiest to get a specialist in to do the lot.

all you need to do is purchase a new receiver dryer, 2 fitting for your valves and it will require new ac compressor oil in the compressor...

you can go to the trouble of new o-rings and all that but wont really make a difference and your system will work just with changing oil, receiver dryer and valves...

someone please correct me if im wrong but mine is working fine...

Thanks guys great help, how expensive am I looking for a reciever dryer and the appropriate valves???

looking at 50-150 for the receiver dryer and round 10-50 for the fittings
