Hey guys,
I'm new to nsw and I'm trying to find a company or person who would be able to help me find a rolling or bare s14 shell that I can still get re registered. If any one has any advise and also what to look out for would be greatly appreciated.

Hey mate

To be honest you're best option is to find one that someone is stripping. You're main issue in NSW is our re registration laws - basically if a car is logged as a write off (statutory or economic) it can never be re registered, ever.

Is there a reason you want just a shell? There have been some really cheap s14 and s13's with big kays on them coming up. You might find some through the wholesale vehicle auctions as well, if you can make friends with a car salesman (we all have to make sacrifices) they might be able to put you onto something cheap?

Is there any wreckers down here that deal with nissans?? The reason why I want a shell is because I have a complete drive line out of my old 200 that my ex crashed for me

Not quite true. a repairable write-off (what you referred to as economic) CAN be re-registered.
It just can't be sold without a record of it having been a write off being on it's history.
You will find it almost impossible to INSURE a former write off,but not to register it.

A Statutory write off can't be re-registered and is only good for wrecking.

Complete S14's that are registered and on-road are cheap as these days. hell,my last one went for under $7k,the same as what you'd pay for an S13.
Look around on forums like this one,on car sales and the trading post. One is bound to turn up for a good price. Especially a series one as noone seems to like them much.

You'll have to be quick as that option will come to an end as at the 31st of October.

It was to be implemented in August as set out by the then (now shamed and resigned) Transport Minister David Campbell in April.
