hi guys
ive got a mate wanting 2 buy a s15 and he was wondering if jap spec s15's come out with sunroofs? i know the au spec ones do.... the ones with out the rear wipers.
havn't had any certain answers yet so do they?

Pretty sure they are a factory fitted option so no guarantees that the jdm one come with a sunroof.

jap spec's come in spec-R or spec-S
but do they com in GT spec???????????

'gt spec' was an ADM marketing exercise. fit a few pretty bits,charge more,and pat yourself on the back for being so very creative.

the 'gt' badge is from the skyline,that should be clue enough that it's not an original japanese version of the car.

as justin said, its an AUDM only thing. the GT model had some pretty chrome interior bits, leather front seats (crap IMO), aero wing, and aero side skirts. this is the wing that has been dubbed the 'GT' wing, where it is actually a JDM optional 'aero selection' wing.

other than that it had zero performance increase, and cost about 5k more.

ok cause we went and had a look on the weekend at a spec-R 'GT' badged Jap-spec JDM, it had the japanese compliance plate and didnt have the rear wiper and the climate control was like the ADM type, it was like a bits n pieces car! suspected number job my mate and i got a little turned off and walked away from the sale..... thanks for the help guys!

Sounds like a normal GT Spec S15. Was the compliance plate on the bar in front of the radiator? If so, all adm s15's have that.

if it didnt have a rear wiper or climate control, its either AUDM or its had a local rear screen put in...... its quite easy to convert either way actually

as for a compliance plate, thats weird. walk away if it looks sus

i have a jap spec s15 and its an aero with out a sun roof i bought it from top secret imports if u chat with them they mite b able to find ur mate one, they were incredibly helpful with me

you can pick up jdm s15s with sunroofs, very hard to find. i know a dealer who had 1 not long ago, sold it withn a week or 2.. gl with your search for one :)

allimports at haberfield, pretty gd ppl to deal with ! :D
