Hey people,

Hey from Japan!
I started an into thread a few days ago, now i actually have my car i though i would start a new one...

So i went and picked up my S15 from the dealer today. Although I've had a bunch of bikes (had an Aprilia RS250 Race Prepped bike i used to drive on the streets), this is my first real sports car (had in Hyundai Coupe in Uni... don't hate).

So - first impressions... (Keep in mind im in Japan, so driving conditions are a little different). Driving out of the dealer - was more worried about my missus having to get the train home as the spoiler was in the passenger seat. First hour - never got it over 20km/h as everyone is on holiday for Obon-week. Clutch is nice, gearbox slick as my uncles Christmas jokes (most people laugh but sometimes u think... WTF?!... i.e. Nice, but sometimes you can feel there is something special).

After one hour, i finally got it over 20km/h.... slowed down before some lights i pass though every day and know the timing for. Held up about 300 holiday makers, waiting til i knew it was going to go orange then booted it. Frist WOT impression - not as gut wrenching as the 600HP Supra i drove in Chiba, but OK to be sure... then came up to a corner at 120. Next feeling - corners like its on rails... in a movie. S15 corners like a mutha. It was intense!

Sorry for the noob reaction, but while the power wasn't what i thought, I bought this car to sit in traffic most days and take to Suzuka - also to drift in on weekends. I.e. this car is meant to be set up for everything.
TEIN Super Drift Suspension - a set of decent tryres for curcuit and cheap as shit (Federal) tyres for drift...

Took my mates for a short ride tonight, spun it round in an empty car park... very very tight.

Anyway, just want to say hajimemashite (nice to meet you) to the SilviaNSW community again. And reiterate - I'm going to be asking for a lot of advice, so if anyone needs anything from Japan, I'm here now, so want to give to the community what i take!
Pics to follow tomorrow when I head up to a temple near my place with the missus.

For anyone in Japan - Nissan Gloria Gran Turissmo Y33 for sale in Kyoto. Cheap cheap! (50,000en!).

Thanks,
-D

First P.S. - I'm a little hammered as we had some mates over tonight.

Thats a nice looking mod list.
Seems the only things missing would be a decent seat to hold you in and a pair of camshafts to really make things come alive!

Congrats on the new ride.
