the head will bolt str8 onto the block
u will need to use the ve oil pump because the oil pump is also the timing case cover it bolts to the cylinder head
when using the ve oil pump u will need to machine the back of the gear which drives the timing chain other wise the balancer doesnt have enuff clearance
if ur using a P12 cylinder head like iam u dont need to relocate solenoid but if ur using the older model P11 cylinder head u will need a relocation or some sort of adapter for the solenoid's

if you've dropped a VE head on a DET block,it makes a bit more sense. 'it bolts on' goes completely against the one I've seen before though.

ive dropped a ve cylinder head onto my det block
if u want to drop the whole motor it FORGET IT !
