Hi,

I am able to get my hands on a GTR sway bar for a decent price. I was just wondering if it was worth while to replace the rear sway bar only. Will it increase handeling as it has an increased diameter of 27mm over the 19mm or will it throw it off from just upgrading the rear?

If any thing it will be R34 that fits. if they do that is..

Whats the point with the cost of aftermarket sway bars any way???

free and a decent price are not the same thing. paying a little for something that doesn't work isn't better value than the right thing that costs a bit more.

the skyline bar is a different width, and won't likely fit. IIRC,it's ~20mm wider between the lower arm mounts. the links don't line up correctly with the arms.

I had the same issue with my first stagea. I was told a R33 GTR bar would fit it,it doesn't. an R33 GTS-t bar does fit. the rear end of my wagon runs the same arms as an S14/S15/R33.

R32 GTR rear bars have apparently been fitted to S13's in the past as a cheap upgrade.
my experience with my later model car (r33/S14/S15 rear suspension design) has been that they are different.

Thats odd. I was looking around late last year for sway bars and found that a few guys with S15s ran the R33 GTR sway bars as a budget hadeling mod. Apparently fits perfectly.

Strange how SilviaNSW.com is ony hearing of this now or was i just fed a whole heap of BS? :o

Why are you still talking to us about it if you're so sure it's correct? just go buy it already and stop the validation seeking.
