hey all i am just wondering if ill be able to get away with leaving a ca na engine harness as im doin ca18det plus any help in removing polution gear like as in how do i run the hoses after i remove the crap next to the booster?

i know you can get away with it on sr20's with changing the ecu

you will need the CA18DET loom as it has a resistor pack in it for the CA18DET's low impedance injectors.

If you run it with an n/a loom you will probably damage the ECU and it won't run properly.

I have a CA18DET loom and ECU sitting around I think...


The vacuum lines next to the brake booster are not really pollution gear.
They control things like the fuel pressure boost on startup, and the secondary throttle butterflies - so if you remove them the engine won't run as well as it should.

SR20DE ECUs and looms are different to DET
You can't run a DET engine with a DE loom or ECU unless you also swap the ignition system over - and re-tune the ECU

lmao this is true turbo sr20dets run crank angle sensor while an sr runs a dizzy so it would be completely different i have run a s14 vvt n/a motor off a s13 sr20 turbo blacktop harness worked a treat no probs besides that ugly limiter so i got a nistune
