Well, from personal experience, when I specced up a MK4 supra to import from Japan it was going to cost me 3g to get it here, now for you I would expect it to be a bit more, you might want to consider buying from or at least contacting for a quote a specialised car importer like:
http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/

I know for a fact that they can help you out.
Hope this helps.

Yeah prestige imports everywhere on earth AFAIK.
I'm sure of this because they can import what we have as race or rally only cars to other continents where they can be registered for road use.

I think its quite costly to import the s15 to the u.s. the states has strict saftey standards which most jap imports fail. all the skylines were hard to import and needed to be crash tested before they could be road registered.

Hey mate.

Look for a company in CA called 'Kaizo'.

They will have for sale S15 'kit' cars which need to have a motor transplanted into them. It is illegal for them to sell you the engine with the car as it is assigned a new VIN as a kit car manufactured by Kaizo.

Since you live in VA, it will be perfectly legal to drop in an SR AFTER you have purchased it (any state except nazifornia) because as a kit car, you will not have to conform to usual EPA and emissions.

It's rather pricey unfortunately, but it seems to be the only federally legal way to get your bottom into an S15 here. :(

BTW, the kit cars are S15's that are imported from japan, stripped of their drivetrains and structurally re-enforced to conform to DOT standards.
