I'm in a bind, I have a leaky oil cooler which I finally checked out, turns out it has 2 o ring seats, it only came with 1 o ring, the larger one.

Anyway looks like this is the source of the leak, anyone know where to buy large o rings (57-58mm ID) I have looked on ebay etc- and the o ring kits only go to 51mm. Im pretty sure the ones at supercheap will be the same type. I kinda need it tomorrow for a track day. Anyone know of anywhere which might sell this and be open on saturdays?

cheers

Take your oring with you and buy an oil filter that matches the size you need from repco or some place. scrap the filter and keep the oring.

yep Ive thought of that but the oil relocator adapter takes o rings around 2mm in diameter (cylindrical) where as most if not all oil filters use square/rectangular o rings around 4mm width and height

How badly do you need the oil cooler? Worst case scenario, could you run the car for the day without the oil cooler and just keep an eye on the engine temps?

SFK Bearings (in Mascot) had o-rings in largish sizes, but I can't remember if they opened on Saturdays. I don't remember Repco keeping large O-rings in stock.

I assume its the o ring between the engine and adaptor.

can you just use some liquid gasket? its not like its ever gonna come off again

also try calling hose places like pirtek and motorsport connections

As there are no bolts to hold it in I doubt liquid gasket will hold, I'll try that mascot place and pirtek and repco etc- and hope for the best, otherwise Im just going to bypass the cooler and buy a oil filter so it works for a day, unfortunateky though I cant use my oil temp/pressure gauges but hopefully it'll be ok, just do short runs
