how do you guys find driving with a shimmed diff?

Is it anything like a locker?

just weld it... eventually a shimmed diff will loosen up

when they are tight they are very similar to a locker

ok this might be a really dumb question lol but I heard that if you've got an aftermarket diff, you needed to put the same make of oil in the diff as it's perfectly set for that oil?

is this complete crap or does it have some truths ie oil weight needs to be the same???

I previously used LSX90 in my AE86's diff also, worked fine. Not so expensive and did the job well.

I'd probably use it again soon in my S14.
