Hey Guys,

Name is Steve and i just purchased an S14 (FMIC and Exhaust on it) got it for a score as of one of my mates who has about 4 other cars.

Now iv'e got a nice bundle of cash to spend to get it to where i want (About 300rwhp is my target) got a good performance workshop ready to start work but just wanted to get an insight into some of your guys opinions as what to do to get that power.

Also i would like to possibly put an s15 body kit on it - good place to get these? im in Gold Coast.

Thanks in advance for suggestions.

Which workshop, and how big a bundle of cash?

Reason I ask is that one persons bundle is another persons spare change is another persons deposit for a house.

So you are after around 220rwkw?

If you already have a capable FMIC and exhaust then you may want to consider (working your way through the car):
air filter
AFM
turbo
piping kit (will depend on quality of current piping)
throttle body
intake manifold should be ok, but if you have a bundle of cash you can always get a nice one
injectors
ECU to control it all
cams and vernier gears
possible tidy up of the head (port match and polish)
exhaust manifold
any other exhaust bits (dump and front pipe, cat) that haven't been done

then there are some suspension bits to put the power down:
coilovers
swaybars
arms

plus some rims and tyres

and then work on your interior:
seats
gauges

About $15,000 or so - It's called Hi-Torque in Labrador (Gold Coast) ye want about 220rwkw atleast... but want to maintain reliability as my current vehicle does my fkn head in with problems.

Sweet thats exactly what i wanted mate thanks heaps. a list like that of mods so i can work through it.

I'm just trying to sell my current vehicle still - VY V6 S/C Calais (302rwhp running 18 Pound boost, best track time of 12.4 seconds)

been a great car but to modified for what evers left standard - i.e pulleys always snap off it's to hard to maintain plus never owned a turbo so thought a 200sx would be a good start.

Thanks again for advice.

And a boost controller. I forgot that one. I'm sure there are a few other things you can get.

might also want to include a decent clutch, fuel pump and perhaps LSD depending on what you want to do with the car later down the track

You might want to add brakes to that list so you can stop at the end of the straight.

I wouldn't waste the money on a s15 front end conversion, you would be better off buying a s15 to start off with, rather than bothering with the conversion, if you wanted the look of a s15. The more modded your car becomes, usually the less reliable it will be, but if you're careful with the modifications you make, and the quality of workmanship that goes into the mods, then you should still end up with a fairly reliable car.

Seriously a cheap but Noticable MOD would be a fuel Pump. Look into a Bosch 040 , then maybe a Profec B EBC so you can boost her

Car: too many
As many Carbon Fibre panels that you can get onto it will dramatically reduce the weight of the car giving you better performance.
Bonnet is a big one!!
