I was a turbo virgin until about 3 week ago when I picked up a 2001 S15 Spec R.

It came with a K&N pod so I went and purchased an intake box to make it a bit more legal. I had found out today the aftermarket exhaust on it is JASMA complianced but couldn't find a brand name anywhere, so any ideas to what it might be? Also has a EXESS (??) BOV. Does the job so no complaints. :)

I plan to keep it as is until next year where I'll start on the suspension, and work my way to the interior and finally engine as it has more than enough power (for me anyways) for Sydney's roads and the odd trackday and skid pan. I'll be also sticking to the less is more philosophy.

And a couple of pictures:

Honk if you see me on the roads.

Hey Kevin,

Welcome to SilNSW!!! As previously mentioned, nice choice of ride, it looks a good clean example.

As for your 'less is more philosophy' your off to a great start with your choice of colour. The most outrageous of all factory S15 colours!

AHA. Nothing wrong with yellow and sticking to less is more. But I meant it as no hectic-ness and more tasteful mods.

I'm usually around the Peakhurst/Hurstville area but most weekends will be in the Ryde area.

Okay, as in the first post I mentioned a JASMA approved exhaust. But I couldn't find any other markings like brand name anywhere. So does anyone have any idea on what is JASMA approved and has no markings?

Here is the exhaust:

Yes, that midpipe is approx 8cm above the ground. Scraps in carparks too.:(

And this is all I found on the muffler piece.

Jasma is a Japanese standard for exhaust systems, it has to meet a certain DB level usually 95Db but depends on the year, also might have to meet quality standards....this i'm not 100% about though.
