tried shannons insurance? i think they only insure over 25s, and by the fact you bought an autech, youre probably on your Ps.

putting 20s on it wont make it faster

if your young just car might be the only option, or maybe try shannons

2**** MODS, wanted to a small run down of what other people have done to the autechs... not expecting to make huge power put of it but getting to the top of hills a lil faster would b nice lmaoo!!!! :)

the autechs are already highly tuned so you wont get alot more out of them. id go with a CAI and maybe a new exhaust (im not sure what they come with stock) other than that without spendinga great deal on it just loose some weight

3**** MISC.... anything else anyone thinks they can tell me that might b benificial to me in any way shape of form dont b shy to share ur two cents :) im always oepn ears to advice..

focus on handleing mods because a autech isnt going to be that fast in a straight line. go for some coilovers, sway bars and maybe strut braces for the basics. but you can get a whole heap of adjustable arms if you want to go serious. get some nice JAP 17s (maybe 18's on a s15) with some decent offset.
thanx for everyone that reads this!!! ill get some piks of my car up soon as i get my vertex kit fitted!!!!!! wwoooo!~!!~~~~!!!!

answers are above :P

most importantly get out and drive it, got to skidpans ect to lear the most of car control and have some fun getting it sideways in a safe environment

Car: still looking
Hi there,
I got an Autech 2000 model recently, with lots of money spent on it.
Its got an Ikeya Formula quad throttle bodies+surge tank kit, Toda Fightex coilers, Toda racing Cams, 3 inch stainless steel exhaust all thru.
Also it has a HKS FconV Pro computer, defi gauges, earth leads, larger sump, adj. castor rods.
The exhaust also has a butterfly valve to make it sound more legal...

If the standard car does 200hp at the flywheel, this thing should do 240-250hp I think, when new, ......maybe. Depends who's dyno you use and what you want to believe.
Although power is not the reason why I bought it. I wanted a coupe version of an S2000, a light high revving coupe, real driver's car.
I haven't seen anything like it OZ , and I've been looking for nearly a year for a good car.
Drives and sounds great though. As it revs it goes from a grumbly idle to happy, then to crazy, then to ballistic!
The thing is so loud that you can't drive 'hard' on suburban streets...
Above 5000revs the harmonics take over, its absolutley amazing...
I think these cars could do well with a rear wing for downforce, which I might make up. I'll get eventually a carbon bonnet to save a few kgs, and move the battery to back....eventually.
Cheers
