Will 17 x 9 +18 clear coilovers on a s13??
I think it should be ok to clear the guards with a bit of lipping.

with standard LCAs? heh.

Yeah. It'll clear at the front. I run 8"+32 at the front and using the offset calculator at http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

It gives you 1mm more inner clearance from the coilover, so unless your coilovers are a good deal thicker, I dont see any problem.

It also says itll stick out an extra 27mm. Not sure how much of a lip you can give, but I would imagine it would be do-able. Should need about 1-2cm Im guessing (using 8" +20s as a reference which sit flush IMO with about 2.5deg camber and a legal ride height)

Should fit under a stock body no worries (just roll the guards) and should clear most coilovers too. In the past I had some 17x9 +20s juuust scrub on coilovers (old old Tein HAs), but they were fine on other coilovers.
The only time you should need to lip anything with that size wheel is if you are running close to 0 camber and 255/40s. I would imagine that 235/45 would be the size of choice (best size/price for that wheel) for the rear or 215/45, that would work well too.

Well, as you probably know, you could just press an r33 balljoint into an s13 arm and the above advice would hold true. Otherwise....someone else should help as I havent got firsthand experience with s14 LCAs effect on wheel fitment. Yet.
