hi guys , just want to know if anyone use carbonfibre canards on their front bar. I'm thinking to get some for my white S15 with vertex bar, and 2 canards on each side. can you feel any difference? and where can i get some? Please post some pic if you have some. Thanks |

on a street car dude they'd be good for aesthetic use only really, doubt you'd notice any downforce on legit canards til you hit above the 100km/h mark if not alot more |

and that's assuming that they're even shaped correctly to do anything at all. at least buy rice people will see. canards aren't going to do anything other than lighten your wallet by whatever they're going for on ebay. Justin... |

I've heard that they are also a defect as they appear sharp and may cause harm to pedestrians. Is that true? Also they can look a bit funny |

they DO stick out,and protrusions from the front bodywork are a fail for rego,so yes,that's entirely possible. Justin... |

not sure if rear diffusers are defectable.. but keep in mind cops can attempt to defect you for anything it is logical if canards are defects. if you want to looks enough to risk trouble from the police, then go for it. ________ AIRSOFT 6MM 0 2G 1KG PELLET |

canards are defects because they stick out past the bodywork on the front. a diffuser is under the rear of the car,and isn't a problem. getting one to work correctly though is much harder than you think. Justin... |

not really, canards are mainly for fine tuning aero... in regards to actual effects, they do minimal compared to a splitter or properly mounted GT wing.. first person to tell me why canards are named so gets a gold star! hint hint.. en francais! |

Origin of the word Canard - Used in Engineering on Aircraft: The Tailplane was mounted towards the front of the plane which preceeded the main wing First used on a french aircraft.. Named Canard because when originally seen flying overheard it resembled a duck.. French word for Duck = Canard Where's my f*cking Star? |
