but thats the specs so far.. i have recieved the engine and most of the parts i just cant wait to finish the job.. as im under the P plate restrictions for another year im building a NA engine but once i get off my P's i will change some parts that affect compression ratios and install a turbo

Any Comments

Edit: quite a few new things aswell.. will go in to more detail shortly

Thanks Guys

Scotty

I would suggest you go larger in the cams duration, drop the haltech for a power fc or daughterboard, and definitely go for the quad throttles - at least 48mm if not larger. if that's not possible, use an 80mm single.

go bigger injectors if you're gonna be boosting eventually too.. esp if you're getting a power fc (etc) that is easy to change the parameters

do a search first. it's been covered several times.

in brief, besides plugging straight in,it has several handy tuning options that you're going to need that a haltech won't,and does a better job of managing the tune.

the haltech will be a better computer to use, more parameters etc, once it's wired up, the PowerFC is only good because it's a bolt in and easy to tune item, but it's missing some major things, like knock retardation and the like, the best would be to retune the standard ECU (personally) as it is unrecognisable to the cops, unlike any aftermarket ECU

Quad throttles will be noted as a modification and there for deemed not allowed, but would be awsome to have, maybe just an extrude honed and port matched inlet with an 80mm T/B would be the go, plus it'll be alot cheaper, if you are going NA power maybe bigger cams might be woth using, if you plan on the rest of the mods, there's an NA SR20DE in a datto 1200 ute in japan that i know of running 302deg cams, making 220hp, 280 with NOS, runs 12.01sec 400m

What comp ratio are you planning on going with? minimum of 12.5:1 i'd say, autech S15 came with 11.7:1 standard, as long as good fuel is always used

The turbo injectors are good for 200kw's so i dont think you will be maximising them any time soon with NA power, and will suffice, no need to go bigger unless you have to, and they'll be the easiest to tune and have the best spray pattern

A good mod to consider also will be a higher final drive ratio and the 6 speed S15 box to have better ratios for acceleration, whilst sacrifising top speed
