Hi guys, I'm kinda new to this whole thing but I have an s15 running 245/35/19s on the back and I'm chewing through back tyres like crazy so i'm looking at getting an adjustable camber kit on the back.

i've been doing a bit of research on adjustable camber arms but are there any preferred brands/types that you guys recommend? also, what would be a rough installation cost? i'm told around 330 for the parts and installation. does this sound alright?

When you say you're "chewing" through rear tyres, what do you mean exactly?

I'm assuming the car is lowered and subsequently runs excessive camber?

Very similar situation to me at the moment. Running 245/35/19 on the rears on stock camber arms, 3.2neg camber. I am in the market for some rear camber arms to address this too.

Ikeya formula makes the best arms out there imo, but you pay the premium for the gold :P Otherwise, Kazama, Section Silk Road, Tein, Cusco all make arms for the 15. Im sure there are others too but cant really go wrong!

$330 for parts AND labour means just jap arms,or bushes.

just jap arms will last you up to 2yrs of daily driving give or take, and offset adj. bushes will give you about half as much adjustment as the arms have,at half the price, with twice the headaches.

go just jap if you're on a budget,or for cuscos if you want to do it right the first time.

I'd also suggest selling the 19's and getting some nice lightweight 17" wheels. silvias don't need any bigger than 17's. there's no practical reason for anything larger.

Cheers guys. The quote I recieved was from pedders. I think it was about $90 for the camber arms which seems very cheap.

splashman, that's exactly what i mean. due to the excessive rear camber, the tyres are basically wearing on the inner edge. At the moment I have the stock camber arms out as far as they can go to help prevent a bit of the wearing so I guess the the next stage (apart from downsizing the wheels) is to upgrade the rear camber arms.

at that price and from pedders they're probably offset bushes or whatever rather than full adjustable arms.

For my old 180 pedders once quated me about 1k to fix my -3deg rear camber.

That included camber arms, toe arms and labour.

But the guy suggested to get TuneAgent arms and bring the car for fitting if I wanted to save money, otherwise he told me to get some jap brands.
He mentioned that I should avoid justJap arms as there were cases of them snapping.

Also he said that I shouldn't be buying pedders arms as they are expensive and not as good...

if you want to reduce tyre wear an not just pull the camber back out, you'll need adjustable toe arms too.

having a less neg camber at that sort of height really fucks with toe.

im getting camber arms off a trader on ns.com for 160 and toe arms for not much more.

put them in yourself and go for an alignment
