hi,

i just adjusted my suspension at the front i have tein Ha's they dont have camber tops. when i took teh car off the jack i noticed the passanger wheell sticks out about 5mm or so more then the other one.

Does anyone know why this would happen and how can i fix it. The suspension does have the bottom camber adjustments, but im not sure how to adjust these.

not exactly.. Thats the case for rear toe, but not the front.

Theres a good chance its just camber related; On most struts, you'll find the bottom hole is round, but the top is elongated. This allows you to adjust the camber of the wheel at the knuckle. Make sure both are set relatively the same.

No I didnt. Not even close actually.

An accentric bolt has a bend like a crankshaft; turning the bolt physically pushes the arm in or out.

What I said is that there is an elongated hole. The bolt is a stock standard, straight line. You have to loosen the bolt, move the strut/knuckle to the appropriate place, then tighten it up again.

Well, its definitely not an eccentric bolt on the one sitting outside.. Nor on my friends' S15's. Mind sending a few pics to web-admin@exemail.com.au? Perhaps I was sold a faulty car

its the bolt on the sub-frame end of the arm. not the one bolted to the knuckle.

In his situation, he obviously wouldnt have adjusted the lower control arm. The difference from how it was with the stock suspension will be in the strut to knuckle section, as I said.

Compensating for a misaligned strut to knuckle join with camber tops or lower control arms is what gives wheels sticking out further, or camber tops being adjusted differently on either side.

I like to set the camber tops, and then make sure the camber is identical either side using the knuckle join. Once both sides are symmetrical, I can adjust the camber to where I want it using the tops.

you should put the car on an alignment rig and measure it before you consider adjusting anything.

Word to that. Figure out if the car is bent.
