have a crack at it yourself if you have the paint already.
go borrow a compressor & spray gun from a mate or hardware store & have a crack at it.

mate just save your money and get it done properly and yes the whole bodykit should be rubbed and in primer then rubbed again before painting

Getting it done properly is hardly going to save money. I got quoted a minimum of $300 per sideskirt (yes, just for a side skirt) for it to be done properly. Not exactly cheap.
I think I'll be using the spray-can option myself....

I don't know where you guys getting these crazy quotes from. I've had a whole kit painted in a custom colour for $500 at a no-name place and that was an average price.

I only supplied the paint (1 ltr is more than enough) and rubbed the bars to make the surface smooth and even. most kits come in primer anyway so you don't need to worry about that part. fitment is the main issue but then again, you get what you pay for.

yes you will need to high fill fibreglass bars as they are in gel coat and the paint may not stick and you can have problems with silicon, just go to a few shops and ask dont just ask one bloke
